Some DFB projects benefit from extra hands-on help in the form of pro-bono consulting offered to the partner organization. Our social venturing program offers you the opportunity to lend your skills, expertise, and connections to an organization that’s receiving a DFB project grant. DFB Minneapolis has pioneered this social venturing activity as a way of further providing help to the nonprofits we work with, ensuring that our donation is used with maximum effectiveness.
An example of social venturing could be using your business contacts to arrange a discount on supplies or equipment needed by our project partner, thus stretching the DFB grant money further. Other social venturing projects have taken the form of program design, in which DFB members assisted our partner organizations with implementing new business systems or volunteer programs.
