DFB Minneapolis has been busy fundraising for their current project to benefit a nonprofit bakery called The Cookie Cart.  They are more than 70% of the way to raising the $10,000 needed to fund a brand new career certification program at this unique organization, and now, if you help them on Crowdrise, you could win a prize!

The Cookie Cart puts kids to work in their bakery, teaching them job skills and giving them tools to succeed later in life.  The kids at the bakery work hard.  And, The Cookie Cart is giving them the kinds of opportunities that they haven’t had in life – like caring mentorship, practical training, and a pathway to economic success (and, one would assume, lots of cookies!).

This project is now featured on Crowdrise, a social fundraising site that makes it easy to get friends involved and keep them updated on our progress.  If you’re already active there, “friend” us on Crowdrise and help spread the word about this great project.
